One of the Island's most senior tram horses - Douglas - is retiring.
In a post on social media, Douglas Bay Horse Tramway say he's retiring to the Island's Home of Rest for Old Horses - after 20 years of service.
Douglas hasn't pulled trams on the Promenade for a while - but has been helping chaperone young horses up in fields above Onchan.
The Tramway says Douglas have been a favourite over the years - with his recognisable body markings, competing in ploughing matches and his 'celebrity status' gained by attending local events.
The team has wished him a 'hugely deserved and enjoyable' retirement with his many buddies at the Home of Rest on Richmond hill.
