The Snaefell tram service has been suspended after it derailed this afternoon.
A tram was parked near the top of the mountain when it rolled down the track before derailing and sustaining extensive damage.
No one was on board the carriage at the time but 30 passengers are currently at the summit café.
The cause of the incident is not yet determined but an independent investigator is currently en route to the site.
