Routine GP appointments won't be available on Island from later this morning and throughout the afternoon.
The government is advising residents general appointments won't be held between 11.30am and 6pm today whilst doctors attend their latest quarterly training session.
Officials say some doctors may be attending as normal as not all are attending the education session - anyone in need of an urgent appointment should contact their surgery to see the on-call GP.
Practices will remain open, however, for those needing to pick up test results, order repeat prescriptions and make future appointments.
