One of the key figures in Douglas town centre's retail strategy has expressed his disappointment over HMV's current position.
Chris Pycroft says many towns across the British Isles had lost numerous brands recently, such as Jessops and now possibly the music retailer.
Mr Pycroft is head of the Douglas Development Partnership and remains firmly opposed to out-of-town retail centres.
However, he did say it isn't all bad news for the high
street here and some top UK names could be on their way to Strand Street soon:
