Tourism Minister Urges Island to Get Behind Cav Ahead of Next Week\'s Sports Awards
Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle has spoken to 3FM in an effort to get the Manx public behind Mark Cavendish and vote for him in next weeks BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Although he faces tough competition from the likes of Footballing legend Ryan Giggs and Champion Boxer David Haye, Cav is a frontrunner given his remarkable season and Tour De France victories.
The Minister has referred to Cav as the Island's greatest ever sports star who deserves the Island's full support.
