Today's Manannan sailing to Liverpool had to return to Douglas due to a medical emergency on board.
The Steam Packet Company says the vessel was met by an ambulance in port and the casualty was transferred to shore and into the care of medical professionals.
Manannan will resume its scheduled sailing as soon as possible.
