Castle Rushen's medieval clock will stop next week as the tower undergoes conservation work.
Manx National Heritage says the clock mechanism will be temporarily removed, with the Clock Room roof and floor being repaired.
A spokesman says the work will safeguard the clock on a long term basis as well as protecting and preserving its home.
Work will start on Tuesday and finish in the autumn.
