An online system for applying for an Isle of Man passport is expected in 2027.
That's according to Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson, who was asked for an update by South Douglas MHK Claire Christian.
He said it's not possible to tell if any money will be saved when the system goes online.
But he says he hopes it'll be more responsive and efficient.
