Coastguard and lifeboat teams have rescued three people from a boat in the South.
Port Erin Coastguard were called out just before 6am this morning to respond to a vessel in difficulty near the Carrick in Bay Ny Carrickey, assisted by Port St Mary Lifeboats.
As the boat was close to the Carrick Rock during the swelling tide, the crew of the stricken vessel were taken onto PSM Lifeboat and brought safely ashore.
The vessel then broke free from its anchor, swept across the Carrick Rock before being blown back into the water, where she sunk soon after.
No debris has been spotted yet.
Port Erin Coastguard said: “Well done to Port St Mary Lifeboat for a difficult rescue with three lives saved.”
