Three people had a “very lucky escape” last night after the car they were travelling in plunged off Marine Drive.
Emergency services closed the coastal road in Douglas at around 9.10pm after the vehicle came to rest near the foot of a cliff.
Rescue teams helped the trio, who had managed to free themselves, to safety – some had suffered minor injuries.
It’s understood family members of those in the car were at the scene whilst the rescue was underway.
