Three Island residents named in King's birthday honours

Three Island residents have been given honours by King Charles, as part of this year's King's Birthday Honours List.

The Very Reverend Nigel Philip Godfrey, the vicar of St German's and Dean of Cathedral Isle of Man in Peel, will receive an MBE for service to church and community.

John Watterson is to be made an MBE for his contribution to Manx journalism and sport, after a career spanning more than half a century. 

And former teacher Karen Norton receives a BEM for her services to English learning after founding Café Lingo, which offers free English lessons to immigrants from around the world.
