The Department of Infrastructure's confirmed the Mountain Road will stay shut until tomorrow lunchtime, Friday, November 21.
However it says conditions on the Tholt Y Will Road have improved and it'll be reopened as far as the Bungalow later this afternoon, Thursday, November 20.
It's due to the Met Office's yellow weather warning, which is in place for sub-zero temperatures until 3pm tomorrow.
The DOI says further gritting will take place on other routes this evening.
