Thieves Took Off With Large Quantity of Expensive Building and Gardening Appliances
Castletown Police is appealing for information following a large-scale theft of expensive household and garden items from a property in Santon.
It happened sometime between 3pm on Saturday 9th, and 9am on Monday 11th October.
The persons responsible forced their way into a secured garage by smashing a window on the side of the building, once inside they forced the door open.
The thieves stole a number of workman’s tools, including a bright orange cement mixer, a chainsaw, a strimmer and a red and silver Honda lawn mower.
The building on the Main Road in Santon is currently under renovation.
Police believe the offenders would have had to use a large vehicle to take away the items, it’s suspected they will try to re-sell the goods onto persons within the building and gardening trades.
If anyone has been approached by people selling items like the ones mentioned they’re urged to contact the Police immediately.
