The Island will mark Armistice Day with a two minute silence later this morning.
The silence starts at 11am and marks the time in 1918 when the guns fell silent along the Western Front.
Harris Promenade in Douglas will be closed between 10.45am and 11.30am and Douglas City Council will hold a ceremony at the War Memorial.
Yesterday a number of services took place across the Island on Remembrance Sunday.
