The cancellation of road racing events in Northern Ireland 'won't directly impact' the TT.
That's according to a statement from Tim Crookall, Political Member with responsibility for Tourism and Motorsport.
It comes after an announcement this morning that races in Northern Ireland are cancelled due to insurance costs.
Mr Crookall added that increasing costs are a 'very real issue' facing all sports and businesses, which is why the long term sustainability of the TT is a 'clear mission.'
The Isle of Man races will remain committed to working with any of their competitors that may be impacted by the cancellation.
