Teenager's last wish to hear from popstar goes viral

13-year-old Sophie Birtles wants to hear from her favourite popstar Katy Perry - the social media campaign to help her achieve it has gone viral and led to her trending on Twitter. 

 

Family, friends, the local community and some famous faces are sharing her story in a bid to get the American singer to notice her plea and make contact.

 

Sophie, who has the rare genetic disorder Juvenile Sandhoff Disease, is currently being cared for at Rebecca House Hospice.
