Teenager set to take on TT

An 18-year-old from Yorkshire will become one of the youngest competitors to ever take part in the TT.

Joe Thompson will become one of the youngest ever competitor at the meeting - sidecar racer Patrick Farrance holds the record after competing aged 17 in 2002.

Joe will compete for Ian Lougher Racing in both four-lap Supersport races.

He says it's been his ambition for a number of years - he's been racing motorbikes in one form or another since the age of 11.
