A teenager will be sentenced next week after admitting his careless driving led to serious injuries for two passengers in his car.
William Barnes of St Stephens Meadow in Sulby appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care and consideration on the Mountain Road on October 27 last year.
Prosecutor Hazel Caroon told the court the 18 year old lost control and crashed at Guthrie's Memorial, leaving one passenger with a torn bowel and another with broken ribs and bruised lungs and kidneys.
Mrs Hughes adjourned the case for probation reports to be prepared, and Barnes will appear in court again on June 22.
