A teenager who held up a knife during a row with his mother has been ordered to do community service.
Cameron Reekie of Broadway in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted making threats to damage property and using provoking behaviour on August 19.
An earlier hearing was told Reekie threatened to smash his mother’s iPad and phone after she asked him to move property away from the family home in Santon.
The court heard the 18 year old had a previous conviction for possessing a bladed article in public.
Mr Arrowsmith ordered him to do 40 hours of community service and placed him under the supervision of the probation service for 12 months.
Reekie was also ordered to pay £125 costs.
