A teenager’s denied using a hammer to damage his mother’s front door after she locked him out of her home.
Joshua Thomas Gilardoni of Tynwald Road in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 19 year old pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, affray and possessing an offensive weapon on November 13.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the court Mr Gilardoni went to his mother’s home in Willaston and demanded to use her mobile phone – when she refused he broke a charger and as he left he told her if she locked the door he’d smash it along with every window in her home.
The hearing was told a neighbour later spotted him breaking a glass door pane and when he was arrested he told police the hammer was in a nearby bush.
Mrs Hughes granted bail and he’ll next appear in court at a pre-trial review hearing on January 24.
