A teenager from Laxey has appeared in court to deny assaulting his girlfriend and smashing her phone.
Finlay McGregor of Shore Road appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 19 year old denies assault between July and September, causing actual bodily harm on December 6 and destroying property on the same date.
The court heard Mr McGregor is alleged to have pinned his partner down and slapped her face after accusing her of cheating on him – the court heard she has cystic fibrosis.
Mrs Hughes bailed him in the sum of £500 and he’ll appear in court again at a pre-trial review hearing on February 16.
