A teenager’s admitted repeatedly punching a man outside a Ramsey pub, inflicting a fractured eye socket.
Connor Ethan Gilardoni of Tynwald Street in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 19-year-old admitted assault causing actual bodily harm outside the Commercial in Ramsey on October 23 last year.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing Gilardoni approached the man shortly before 10.30pm and began a conversation before pushing him - the incident then escalated when he threw a flurry of punches.
The bench said the case was too serious to be heard in a summary court and would have to be sent to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing.
They bailed him in the sum of £500 with conditions not to enter the Commercial or contact his victim, and he’ll appear in court again on March 11.
