A teenager’s admitted burgling a relative’s farm armed with a knife, destroying thousands of pounds worth of food.
Teoni Jai Blanchard of North View in Peel appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 19 year old admitted aggravated burglary but denies theft at the farm in Patrick on October 7.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing unemployed Blanchard broke into outbuildings, stabbing a large quantity of eggs and scrawling sinister graffiti on a counter top before pouring cleaning fluid into a tank and killing £3,000 worth of lobsters.
Magistrates said the case was too serious to be heard in the summary courts and would have to be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
They bailed her in the sum of £500 on condition she lives at the address given to the court and doesn’t go to the farm involved.
She’ll appear in court again on February 16.
