A teenager who crashed at Devil's Elbow had faulty brakes on his car, a court's heard.
17 year old Jenson Artus of the Meadows in Kirk Michael pleaded guilty by post to careless driving, having defective brakes and failing to maintain stop lights.
The court heard he lost control of his blue Ford Fiesta as he rounded the bend on December 14, before hitting a sheer rock face.
Magistrates fined him £950, handed him five penalty points and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
