Having battled back from a near career ending injury the eight times winner defied his critics by winning in Macau last month.
However new rules regarding electronics mean Hutchy’s Milwaukee Yamaha team may not be able to comply until at least 2015.
Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki are likely to be unaffected due to their advanced kit systems - the kit system for Milwaukee however is not as sophisticated with the team owner contemplating withdrawing from next year’s event.
