Reform of applied and vocational qualifications for 14-19 year olds in England could trigger changes in the Isle of Man.
Intended for first teaching in September 2014 – the adjustments follow on from a review of vocational education undertaken by Professor Alison Wolf in 2011.
The Department for Education and Children (DEC) says the Island has alternative options to the proposals – which would mean a spring term public consultation on the way forward.
Paul Craine is the co-ordinating adviser for the DEC – he says we find ourselves in a unique position:
Rapists's appeal against sentence thrown out
Last chance to become next TT's charity partner
No gas price hike after regulator review
Cafe hits back after staff abused
Online appointments being considered by sexual health clinic
Treasury can’t say how much is made from medicinal cannabis
