The Island's governor is paid more than £100,000 a year tax-free - and Government House costs the taxpayer more than £247,000 a year to run.
The figures have been released after a Freedom of Information request to the Cabinet Office.
In its answer, the office revealed almost £13,000 was spent on catering last year, although the Lieutenant Governor pays for his own food when not on official duties.
And the response also says the queen's representative on the Island gets a £2,500 allowance for out of pocket expenses.
