Government says it's looking at the way it licenses taxi drivers on the Island - and may be changing the process in the near future.
In the House of Keys this week Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer faced questions about changes his department's making to laws that date back to 2001.
Mr Harmer said there are a number of proposed changes to laws governing commercial vehicles including taxis.
And he said the new laws would tackle problems in other areas too:
