A court has heard a well-known tattoo artist died after suffering a head injury.
42-year-old David Henry Howarth, of Summerhill Road in Onchan, died on December 2 last year.
The inquest into his death resumed at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
The court heard Mr Howarth's partner had not realised anything was wrong until she tried to wake him up in the afternoon of December 1.
She explained it was unusual he was sleeping so late into the day and that he was still snoring.
It was only when she pulled the covers away from him she realised there was blood on the pillow and he was still fully dressed.
She called emergency services and paramedics arrived at the scene.
Mr Howarth was still unconscious when taken to intensive care at Nobles Hospital but later died due to bleeding in the brain.
Coroner of Inquests John Needham recorded a verdict of accidental death saying it was ''most likely caused by a fall''.
