Motorists are being urged to drive with care this morning following heavy and persistent rain overnight.
Road conditions are said to be poor – particularly on the back roads.
There is a lot of standing water and some puddles have turned out to be several feet deep and unsuitable for vehicles to drive through.
Police say it is impossible to check all roads around the Island and as such are encouraging drivers to be extra vigilant.
The Creg na Baa back road and Tholt Y Will Road from the Mountain Road to Sulby have been closed completely.
