We are being encouraged to self-test for coronavirus before heading out to party.
The government is reminding the public to test before Christmas parties and household mixing to make sure they can go ahead safely and minimise disruption to hospitality businesses.
It's suggested that residents take an LFD twice a week, before attending social gatherings, war a face covering in indoor public spaces, ventilate homes and work places, and take up the Covid and flu vaccines when offered them.
Since new guidance came into place earlier this week, face coverings are now mandatory on public transport and in health and care settings, and are expected to be worn in schools and public places.
