Synthetic pitches to shut at night for maintenance

The inspection flagged up problems with the two pitches floodlights, that could have possible safety implications.

Until such a time where the issues can be resolved, the floodlights cannot be used and accordingly all evening activities have been cancelled.

It is likely the works will take around 3 weeks, with work ongoing to minimise the disruption to sporting programmes as far as possible.

The pitches will however still be usable during the daytime when the floodlights are not required.
