Police say an appeal over people swimming in the sea in the north of the Island yesterday was the result of a well-intentioned false alarm.
Earlier, officers shared an appeal from the coastguard to identify anyone who was in the sea off Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey.
They'd asked anyone who was swimming to get in touch.
However, in an update on social media police say it was a genuine false alarm, and thanked the public for their help.
