Adam Wood recently retired from the British Diplomatic Service after a distinguished career in diplomacy and international development.

He was the African Director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where he advised the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary.

His duties on the Isle of Man will include to be Her Majesty The Queen’s personal representative and impartial adviser, and to host Royal and VIP visits and occasions in conjunction with the Island’s authorities.
