Could you help pay a sick Swan's vet bills?
The plea comes from the Manx Wild Bird Aid who rescued the bird from Ramsey last week.
Staff say the Swan - who's believed to be 14-years-old was unable to stand so was taken to the vets for x-rays, but had no broken bones.
The vet prescribed antibiotics for a suspected infection in her leg- she responded quickly and is now standing and walking again.
However, organisers say she needs another week of medication and daily hydrotherapy to help strengthen the bad leg, and will then be released back in Ramsey to rejoin her mate.
The male Swan refused to leave her side when she got beached and was unable to move.
If you would like to contribute towards the swan’s vet bill, you can do so here.
