A man who admitted possessing cocaine outside a Douglas nightclub has been spared a jail sentence.
Wayne Vincent Dale of Glen Mooar in Laxey appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse this week.
He pleaded guilty to possessing the class A drug, possessing cannabis and cultivating the drug at his home.
The court heard the cocaine had been split into smaller amounts, which Mrs Hughes said would have been easy to sell to others.
Dale's advocate told the court his client had the drugs for his own use, and had a longstanding addiction to cannabis.
But he said the 26 year old was truly remorseful and wanted to turn his back on his criminal past.
Mrs Hughes said she accepted he was remorseful, but said possessing cocaine was a step up from his previous convictions involving cannabis.
She imposed a six month prison term, suspended for two years, and a two-year supervision order - also ordering him to pay £125 costs.
