A telecoms company has applied for permission to replace a mast at a farm in the west of the Island to improve its mobile phone service.
Sure Isle of Man, based on Circular Road in Douglas, has applied to put up a new 8-metre mast at Sunnybank Farm in Foxdale.
In its application, the company says the current mast wouldn't be able to carry the equipment needed to keep up to date with technology.
It adds the visual impact of the mast would be minimized by nearby trees and it could be painted to blend into the scenery.
