Vehicles above a certain weight won't be allowed on a section of Summerhill Road in Douglas for nearly two months.
As of today, no vehicles over 7.5 tonnes are permitted on the stretch between Queens Promenade and Strathallan Road until 6pm on April 22.
The DOI adds an alternative route will be available via Strathallan Road if required.
Meanwhile, access to properties in that area will remain in place.
