A former Ramsey Grammar Student is taking on an adventure when she heads to America for a year of studying.
Jennie Mitchell won this year's Ella Olesen Scholarship. It's named after a former registrar of Idaho University who had Manx roots.
The 20 year old, from Lonan, will follow a long line of local students in spending nine months among the 12,000 students at the American University.
She said she will be telling her new classmates from all over the world all about the Isle of Man. (audio above)
She leaves for the trip of a lifetime next month.
