Fire crews from Douglas and Laxey were called to a house fire in the Laxey area last night.
They were faced with a house that was ‘well alight,’ with flames coming out of every window.
The fire was brought under control and eventually put out, with Manx Utilities ensuring utilities at the property were safe and Police closing the road during the incident.
The Fire service is highlighting the importance of closing doors at home, as this can help limit the spread of a fire.
