The Island's Met Office has issued a weather warning for tonight, with winds approaching gale force.
The yellow warning runs from midnight until 4am on Friday morning.
Strong winds are expected overnight, which could mean waves breaking onto exposed roads.
Areas likely to be affected include Shore Road in Rushen as well as promenades in Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey.
