Expenditure on the Island’s health service could top a quarter of a billion pounds by 2035.
That’s the forecast from the Department of Health which says a national debate is needed on the future of the NHS model.
From April the department will be merged with Social Care – and is the only government department to see a budget increase this year.
Minister David Anderson says there are a number of factors putting strain on the service:
Family's appeal to bring brain-injured dad home
Island animal charity appeals for help after relentless bad weather
Further appeal for witnesses following incident in Ramsey
Speed restrictions planned for the coast road next week
Hundreds paid by cheque after MiCard scheme scrapped
No drone zone on Tynwald Day
