Storm Hannah causes Liverpool sailing delays

Sailings to and from Liverpool today will depart several hours later than previous planned due to the effects of Storm Hannah.

The Manannan service to Merseyside originally planned for 3.30pm will now depart at 7pm, and its return originally due to set off at 7.15pm is now expected to leave at 11pm.

Passengers are being asked to check in no later than 6pm and 10pm respectively, and are being advised the crossings are expected to be 'very lively'.

It comes after services to and from Heysham today were cancelled this morning due to the poor weather conditions.
