Storm winds have been causing problems overnight.
The Prom in Port Erin was closed until 09:00AM Friday when it re-opened, it is passable with care.
Michael Street in Peel is closed for the safety of the pubic
Around 5 trees have fallen blocking roads, a tree brought down power cables in Crosby. The MEA have now fixed the problem.
Numerous roads closers were put in place throughout the night but have since re-opened.
A Street light was also blown down in Castletown.
The met office say the worst of the gales were at around 8PM last night when they reached 80miles per hour. That’s storm 10.
Police say there is a lot of debris on the roads this morning. Acting Sergeant Kevin Quirk says they have been working all night to clear up the mess. (audio above)
The Department of Education has confirmed that schools are all open as normal on Friday.
All public transport is running on time too.
The weather forecast indicates that the worst of the weather is over and it will be much calmer over the weekend.
The N.S.C will open at 9am, the early bird session has been cancelled.
