Ramsey commissioners have issued a plea to residents to stop feeding the birds.
On Facebook, the local authority says it's illegal under the town's byelaws to feed birds or other wildlife in Mooragh Park, Coronation Park and on shores.
It says it understands that people are generally well-intentioned, but is warning it can have negative effects.
They include a rise in vermin and health risks, damage to property - and can cause a nuisance to other people.
