The Steam Packet Company has launched a public consultation on a new ferry route.
The ferry firm is considering running a service from Douglas to the Port of Larne in Northern Ireland.
Currently, the ferry goes to Albert Quay in Belfast, but the facility cannot accommodate heavier vehicles such as motorhomes and coaches which would help boost tourism to the Isle of Man.
