In a letter to Tynwald earlier this week the Steam Packet Chairman Lars Ugland urged government to maintain an arms length relationship with the Company.
He said that recently they've been asked to respond to six questions concerning issued relating to the detailed operations and management of the Company.
Mr Ugland said the answers to which couldn't be divulged due to sensitive commercial information, therefore The Steam Packet has declined to disclose any information which it believes is not in the interests of the Company or the Shareholder.
The questions largely related to the ongoing impasse with union Nautilus over plans to move to a living on board model for the crew.
