The first staff cutbacks have been announced at the Steam Packet.
The news comes following on from the recent announcement that the Snaefell would be withdrawn from their operational fleet.
As a result the staffing requirements will be lower than has been the case in previous years.
29 fewer staff will be employed, the majority of which will be seafarers.
The situation remains under review, but it’s not thought that there will be a need to make more cutbacks.
