No one will be representing the Isle of Man in football at this year’s Island Games in Bermuda.
It’s after St John’s United confirmed it will no longer be sending a team to the event. The club had plans to participate after the Isle of Man Football Association said it couldn’t afford to send the national squad.
St John’s bid had been supported on the basis that they were representing the Island Games Team, and not the FA, however as this cannot be the case the club has taken a decision not to pursue its application.
