Spring warning for dog owners

Dog owners are being warned to keep their pets under control this spring.

It follows a report last night of a dog worrying sheep in the south of the Island.

Police say they don't have to attack the farm animals to kill them - sometimes just chasing them can prove fatal.

Farmers are entitled to shoot any dog that they believe to be worrying their livestock under the Dogs Act of 1990.
